Why we built it
Most beauty bookings start with a screenshot and a guess. The photo might be the stylist's own work, a repost or a stock image, and there is rarely a way to tell.
Receipts keeps each photo tied to the person who did the work and says how we know. A picture someone saved for inspiration is labelled as inspiration. It never counts as proof of anyone's skill.
How results are ordered
Results follow the evidence: work a professional has confirmed as theirs, reviews tied to a visit, and how closely both match what you searched for.
Paying Receipts never moves anyone up. Sponsored placements sit in Discover and after the similar professionals on a page, and each one carries a label.

What we check
A member of staff approves every claim to run a business. A review carries a label only when someone proved the visit: Booked on Receipts, Visit checked by Receipts, or Visit confirmed by the business. Professionals confirm their own portfolio.
We do not run background checks or check licences. The safety page lists what we check and what we leave to you.
Where we are now
Receipts is in private preview, and we are opening access in stages. Professionals can claim their page now.
