Paying on Receipts

You pay the person or salon you book with, on Stripe's secure page. Receipts never holds your money.

Who you pay

The booking summary says who you are paying before you pay. That is usually the salon. If the person doing your appointment rents a chair there, you pay them, and the summary says so: “Paid to Zara, who rents a chair at Luna Braids”. Their name is the one on your statement.

Cancelling

  • Each provider sets their own terms. They're listed before you book.
  • Cancel in time and a refundable deposit comes back to your card.
  • Cancel late or miss the appointment and the provider keeps what you paid.

Cancel from your appointments.

Refunds

  • If the provider cancels or declines, you get all your money back.
  • For anything else, message the provider. They took the payment, so they refund it.
  • If that doesn't work, your bank can reverse a card payment.

A refund takes 5 to 10 working days to reach your card.

Going to your bank

If you paid by card and the provider won't sort it out, ask your bank or card provider to reverse the payment. You can do this whatever the provider's terms say. Your bank decides.

Show them your appointment on Receipts and your messages with the provider. If you paid by credit card, ask them about Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act too.

Tips

After your visit you can add a tip from your appointment. It goes to the person who did your work, through the same account you paid. We add no fee to it.
