Teams: employed and self-employed
Each booking is paid to one account, set by the person it is with. Commission, tips and rent are worked out for you, never moved by us.

Chair renters
Mark them self-employed
In Settings, Payments, Who gets paid. They need to have joined your team on Receipts, because the Stripe account will be theirs. They connect their own account
We email them why, and they finish Stripe's form from My payments. Until card payments are on, their bookings are paid at the appointment. Nothing goes to you instead.Ready
Clients see who they are paying: “Paid to Zara, who rents a chair at your salon”. Only the renter can disconnect their account; you cannot redirect their money.
Commission
Set commission for employed staff as a percentage or a flat amount, on all work, one service or one add-on, for everyone or one person. The most specific rule wins. Team earnings in Insights shows what each person is owed, with the bookings behind it and a CSV for payroll.
Tips
Clients can tip after a visit, on Stripe's page, to the same account as the booking. Tips go in full to the person who did the work. For employed staff that means passing on every tip taken on your account, as the Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023 requires. A renter's tips are paid straight to them.
Rent
Set a renter's chair rent weekly or monthly. Bill rent sends them an invoice from your own Stripe account; they pay you directly and Receipts shows whether it is paid.
Leaving
When someone leaves your team, the link to their account ends and future bookings with them stop. They keep their Stripe account, and refunds on bookings they were paid for stay with them.
