Receipts is run by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. In these terms, "we" and "us" means Receipts, and "you" means the person or business using it.
By using Receipts you accept these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data, and our safety page explains what we check. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law.
02
Who can use Receipts
You must be 18 or over to create an account. When you create one, you confirm that you are, and we keep a record of that confirmation and when you gave it.
A parent or guardian may book an appointment for someone under 18 and must confirm that they are allowed to.
Receipts is in private preview, open in stages in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. Some features described here are not available everywhere yet.
03
Your account and @name
You sign in with an email code, a passkey or Google. Keep access to your email and devices safe, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account unless it was not your fault.
People and businesses share one set of @names. An @name is 3 to 30 characters and can be changed once every 30 days. After a change, your old @name redirects to you, and nobody else can take it, for 90 days, or a year for a business. We can refuse an @name that impersonates someone or misleads people, and staff can give an @name back to the person or business it belongs to.
04
What Receipts does, and does not do
Receipts helps people find beauty professionals by their work, and helps professionals show that work. Professionals are independent businesses. They are not our employees or agents.
When you book, the agreement for the service is between you and the professional. They are responsible for the service, its price, its safety and any qualifications or insurance it needs. We do not check qualifications, licences or insurance, and we do not run background checks.
Results are ranked by what you searched for and the evidence behind each professional. Nobody can pay to rank higher.
05
Searching, requesting and booking
Searching, saving looks and messaging are free. A Look Request shares your brief, area, budget and reference photos with professionals who match it. It stays open for 14 days. Professionals do not pay to see or answer it, and their plan does not affect who is matched.
Be accurate in what you send, turn up to appointments you book or cancel in good time, and follow the professional's cancellation policy shown before you book.
06
Deposits and refunds
Online deposits are not switched on yet. When they are, a deposit is paid to the professional's own Stripe account. The professional is the seller, and Receipts takes no fee from it.
If the professional cancels or declines, the deposit is refunded in full.
If you cancel, the deposit is refunded only within the refund window shown when you booked.
The rest of the price is paid to the professional as they arrange.
Questions about prices, refunds or the service itself are between you and the professional. If something has gone wrong, you can also report it to us.
07
Running a business page
To claim a page, you must show it is yours. Evidence can be an email at the business domain, its phone number, a social profile or a document. A member of staff reviews every claim. Some pages were created by Receipts from public information before the business claimed them. A business can claim, correct or ask us to remove its page.
Keep your services, prices, hours and places of work accurate.
Publish only work you or your team did. A photo saved for inspiration never counts as proof of your work.
Get your client's permission before posting a photo of them.
Answer enquiries honestly and treat clients fairly.
You are responsible for your own tax, licences, insurance and the law that applies to your work.
If you connect Instagram, we import the posts you choose. You can disconnect at any time.

Plans and billing
Basic
Free
Professional
£29 a month, or £290 a year
Studio
£79 a month, or £790 a year
Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
Moving up to a higher plan starts straight away. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period.
Moving down to a lower paid plan also starts straight away. Unused time is credited to your next payment.
Cancelling, or moving to Basic, takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. You keep the paid tools until then, and you can undo it before then. We do not refund part-periods.
Any tax that applies is shown before you pay.
A plan never changes your ranking, and nothing you published is removed if a plan ends.
Online payment for plans is not open yet. During the preview you request a plan and we confirm it with you. Payments will be handled by Stripe. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, and you can cancel before it applies.
09
Sponsored placements
Businesses can run sponsored placements in Discover and after the similar professionals on another professional's page. Every placement is labelled, the image is reviewed under the same rules as other public photos, and placements never appear in search results or change ranking. A page whose owner is on Professional or Studio carries no placements. Placements are free during the preview. We can refuse or remove any placement.
10
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, crop, tag and show it on Receipts, and in previews when you share a link, for as long as it is on Receipts. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies we must keep for a dispute, a safety investigation or the law.
You confirm you have the right to post it, and that anyone identifiable in it agreed. Including your photos in AI training datasets needs your separate opt-in, which you can withdraw.
11
Reviews
Our reviews policy explains the labels, checks, editing and disputes in full. These are the rules you agree to.
If you write a review
Describe only a service you received yourself, honestly.
Tell us if you were offered anything for it, such as a discount, a gift or a prize draw.
Do not review your own business, a business you work for, a competitor, or a family member or friend.
If you run a business page
Ask every client for a review or none of them. Do not pick only the clients you expect to be happy. “Ask your clients for reviews” does this for you.
Declare any incentive you offer for reviews on the invitation. Those reviews are labelled.
Do not write, buy, sell, swap or arrange fake reviews, for your business or anyone else's.
Dispute a review only on the grounds the dispute form lists. Disagreeing with an opinion is not one of them, and repeated disputes without good reason are limited.
What we may do
We can label a review, add a note, remove specific words, or remove it when it breaks these terms or the law. We never remove a genuine review because it is negative, and a dispute does not take a review down unless it shares personal information, harasses or threatens someone.
Fake-review abuse
We suspend accounts and business pages that write, buy or arrange fake reviews, gate their invitations or hide incentives, and we remove the reviews involved.
If a review defames you
You can give us notice under section 5 of the Defamation Act 2013. We pass it to the reviewer, who has 5 days to respond, and we remove the review if they do not respond with the details the law requires. The reviews policy sets out each step.
12
Rules for everyone
You must not:
Pretend to be someone else, or claim work or a business that is not yours.
Post content that is illegal, sexual, hateful, violent or harassing.
Post sexual or exploitative content involving anyone under 18. We report it.
Post someone else's private information or photos without their permission.
Send spam or unsolicited advertising through messages.
Scrape, copy or automate access to Receipts, or try to get around its security or limits.
Use Receipts to break the law or to harm anyone.
13
Reports, moderation and suspension
You can report a profile, a message, a review, a lookbook or a placement from where it appears. Reports go to staff and are never shown to the person reported.
If something breaks these terms, we can hide or remove it, give an @name to its rightful owner, limit features such as posting Look Requests, or suspend an account. We tell you what we did and why, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it, and you can ask us to look again by replying to that message or writing to support@receipts.beauty.
14
AI features
AI suggests tags for photos and checks photos against our rules. Reply drafts for professionals are built from their own services and prices, and professionals on paid plans can choose to send them automatically. A suggestion can be wrong. Professionals are responsible for what they send, including messages sent automatically.
15
Our rights in Receipts
Receipts, its name, design, software and the arrangement of its content belong to us or our licensors. You may use Receipts for its intended purpose, and share links to it, but not copy or reuse it otherwise.
16
Other services
Signing in with Google, connecting Instagram, paying through Stripe or opening directions in a maps app means using those services under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
17
Our responsibility to you
We provide Receipts with reasonable care and skill. It is in preview, so features may change, pause or stop, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
We are not responsible for the services professionals provide, for what users post, or for losses that were not foreseeable, or that come from your own business. For business users, our total liability in any year is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in that year.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
18
Ending your account
You can deactivate your account or ask us to delete your data from Your data in settings. Cancelling a paid plan does not delete your page.
We can suspend or close an account straight away for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or to protect someone's safety. Otherwise we give 30 days' notice.
19
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We will tell account holders by email at least 30 days before a change that affects them takes effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using Receipts and close your account before then.
20
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts can hear any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of your local law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
Please write to us first so we can try to put things right.
