Taking payments on Receipts
Clients pay a deposit or the full price when they book, straight into your own Stripe account.

How it works
You are the seller. We never hold your money.
Each payment is a charge on your own Stripe account. Your name is on the client's statement, refunds and disputes are yours, and Stripe pays out to your bank. Receipts takes nothing from a payment and never sits between you and your money.
Setting up
Open Settings, Payments
Choose Set up online payments. Only the workspace owner can.Finish Stripe's form

Online payment is offered once Stripe turns card payments on for your account. Until then clients pay at the appointment.
After a booking
- A client books
- They pay the deposit on Stripe's page. The time is held until it is paid.
- You cancel or decline
- The payment is refunded in full from your account.
- They cancel in time
- Refunded, under the terms they agreed to when booking.
- Payout
- Stripe sends it to your bank, usually two working days later.
Group bookings
- Group size
- Turn on group bookings under Services, booking rules. Set the largest group you take, up to 12, and the size that books straight away (4 to start).
- Deposit
- The organiser pays one deposit: your deposit for each person, added up. Each person still gets their own appointment and reminders.
- Cancellation window
- Your notice window applies to each person. One person cancelling frees only their time, and refunds only their share if they cancel in time.
- Requests
- Groups over your instant size, and any bridal or wedding service, come to you as a request. You confirm or decline each person.
Questions
Does Receipts take a cut?
Not from a payment. Card payments carry Stripe's usual fee, paid to Stripe, and Receipts adds nothing. Your regulars are always free.
My payout bounced
It returns to your Stripe balance. Update your bank details from Settings, Payments and Stripe sends it again.
A client cancels late or doesn't come
You keep their deposit, unless it was refundable and they cancelled in time.
